Apple Cider Vinegar & The Weight Loss- Blood Sugar Connection

Weight loss can seem like it’s nearly impossible for some people. With all the fad diets, and meal plans that are currently dominating the health landscape, it can be hard to know what you can do to achieve your health goals; BUT, trust me when I say there are things that you can do to help you along your weight loss journey that are surprisingly simple. This includes the marvellous use of apple cider vinegar!

When it comes to weight loss, insulin levels play a huge role in the process. When insulin levels are high, our bodies get stuck in sugar burning mode. However, by lowering insulin levels, it allows the body to use fat storage for energy (AKA- burn fat). Ingesting a small amount of apple cider vinegar daily will help to keep your system operating at its most efficient point for fat burning.

As insulin levels improve, you may find your sleep also improves, your energy is increased, your mood is lifted and your weight is dropping with little effort. You can even prevent type 2 diabetes!! It is no secret that blood sugar spikes can cause organ damage and other health complications.

Although apple cider vinegar has a very unique and acquired taste, its benefits are exceptional. Start slow by filling a cup with water and add 1 tablespoon (working your way up to two) with apple cider vinegar. Drink the water 10 - 30 minutes before you eat. Not only will Ingesting a small amount of apple cider vinegar daily help keep blood glucose levels at bay, but it can also aid in digestion.
